Hello, my name is Pastor Travis, but you can call me PT. I am a dedicated pastor with a passion for serving others and spreading the teachings and hope of Christ. I am married to my wonderful wife, Kristen, and we have been blessed with a beautiful daughter named Lorelai.
In 2012, I achieved my Masters of Divinity degree from Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University. Prior to that, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Theology degree from Roanoke College in 2005. These educational accomplishments have equipped me with the knowledge and foundation necessary to effectively lead and guide my congregation.
Throughout my career, I have served in various roles, including as a Pastor for St. James Lutheran Church, a youth director, and a technology and audio-visual assistant. These experiences have allowed me to develop strong leadership skills, effective communication techniques, and a deep understanding of the needs and challenges of individuals from all walks of life.
In addition to my passion for ministry, I have a diverse range of hobbies and interests. I am an avid tea enthusiast and find great joy in savoring a soothing cup of tea. Writing is another passion of mine, as it allows me to express my thoughts and emotions in a creative and meaningful way. Music holds a special place in my heart, and I enjoy playing various instruments whenever I can. Traveling and exploring new cultures has broadened my perspective and enriched my understanding of the world. Lastly, I find solace and inspiration in watching movies, as they have the power to transport us to different worlds and evoke a wide range of emotions.
My favorite Bible verse, Romans 8:38-39, encapsulates my unwavering faith and belief in the limitless love and grace of God. "For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
I am excited to continue using my skills and passion to make a positive impact in the lives of those I serve, as well as those of the disabilities community. I am legally blind and while that has challenges, I am committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive community where individuals can find comfort, guidance, and a sense of belonging. Together, we can navigate life's challenges and celebrate its joys, all while deepening our connection with God.
